De Kloof consists of three short connected films, made in the Groningen municipalities of Oldambt, Midden-Groningen, and Het Hogeland. All the films deal with the gap between city and countryside, and how local young people view it. A feature film of 86 minutes in which the short films flow seamlessly into one another to form a single exciting, funny, and moving story. A story about differences and prejudices, but also about the power of connection.
